DETAILED VILLA DESCRIPTION
The villa has been built on a 10-acre estate and consists of a main building, three guest houses, a 15-meter swimming pool, a large lounge area and a stone-built barbecue in the outdoor dining area. All the volumes of the buildings follow the historical Cycladic architecture of the sloping exterior walls.
Elegant stone steps lead to the entrance of the main building, while a stone ramp has been designed for the disabled guests, through which luggage can also be transported comfortably. Next to the double blue door, crowned with bougainvillea, a traditional stone well with crystal clear water welcomes you. The main building has on the ground floor a large living room and dining room with a view of the sea, kitchen, WC, three bedrooms, maid’s room and a laundry room.
Indoor
The ground floor of the main building is dominated by the living room, with modern off-white sofas, armchairs in fuchsia shades, works of art by important Greek painters on the walls and a large television. The ceiling is framed by wooden beams, while three huge windows offer unforgettable images of the bay of Parikia, day and night. Two tall patio doors offer exit to the swimming pool and the open spaces of the lounge area and the barbecue.
Next to the living room, the dining room with the 110-year-old monastery table and bamboo armchairs completes the welcoming summer atmosphere that the Cyclades visitor is looking for. The huge window offers a magnificent view of the sea and the famous Panagia Ekatontapyliani, standing proud for 1,500 years. It is the work of the most important architect of the Byzantine Empire, Isidoros, who had designed the Hagia Sophia of Constantinople, the most important monument of Christianity.
The dining room communicates through a large open archway with the well-equipped kitchen, which is also accessed from the central hallway. On the opposite side of it there is a large WC and next to it a corridor, which on the left leads to a large bedroom and on the right to the maid’s room (with its own bathroom) and the laundry area. The bedroom on the left has a king-size bed, dressing area, bamboo armchair, TV and three windows facing the sea. It also has a separate entrance with a large terrace and sitting area facing the sea and the pool area. In the anteroom of the bedroom there is a large wardrobe and opposite it is the bathroom.
Before the main WC we meet the internal staircase, which leads to the first floor. There are two bedrooms with king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms, televisions and large wardrobes. One bedroom is particularly large, it has two armchairs with a coffee table, TV and mini bar. The two windows face the sea, while the balcony door leads to a terrace with a sitting area and a view of the sea and the pool area. The large bathroom with double sinks is bathed in light, as it also has an opening to the ceiling. The second bedroom has a balcony door to the sea, with a small sitting area, and a window to the hill.
Outdoor
Three different doors lead to the (15 meter long) pool area. There, comfortable sunbeds and chaise longues await you, to enjoy your bath and the view of the sunset on summer afternoons. Around the pool there are plants, an olive tree, and in the corner a shower for a quick bath.
A few meters from the pool is the handmade concrete, dining table for 12 people, protected from the sun by a pergola. There you can enjoy lunch, but also the evening dinner at sunset, with fine food that can be prepared on the stone-built barbecue, which is right next.
Guest Rooms
At the end of the pool, three guestrooms await visitors, on three different levels. The ground floor is the largest. It includes: king-size bed, dressing table, wardrobe, living room with bamboo armchairs, TV, mini bar and, of course, ensuite bathroom. An external staircase leads to the first floor guest room with a king-size bed (which can also be separated into two singles), a dressing table, a bathroom and a spacious wardrobe. On the veranda there is a small lounge area, with an amazing view of the harbor and the unique sunset. Below the ground floor guestroom, an external staircase leads to the third guest house, with its unique privacy. The bed is a king-size bed and the bathroom is full of light. The balcony door brings us to the wonderful terrace with a view of the sea and the constant movement of ships.
